HOW DO I MANAGE MY STRESS?

The pandemic and its aftermath have had varying effects on everyone's mental health. It is critical to prioritize self-care, seek support from loved ones, and seek help from mental health professionals if necessary.

Traumatic events can have long-term effects on a person's mental and emotional health. Anxiety, depression, irritability, sleep disturbances, and flashbacks are all common reactions to trauma. In the aftermath of a traumatic event, seeking help from a mental health professional, such as a therapist or counselor, can be extremely beneficial.


One healthy way to deal with stress is to engage in regular physical activities, which can help reduce stress and improve mood. Practice being present in the moment, breathing deeply, and clearing your mind with mindfulness and meditation.


A well-balanced diet high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants can benefit both physical and mental health. Also getting enough sleep is essential for stress reduction and physical and mental well-being alongside relaxing activities like yoga, tai chi, or progressive muscle relaxation.


To reduce stress and increase productivity, prioritize tasks, set realistic goals, and avoid overextending yourself. Social support and spending time with family and friends, as well as seeking help from loved ones, can also make you feel less stressed and more connected.


Incase you feel stressed, try laughing and engaging in activities that bring you joy and happiness, this can help you relax and improve your mood. Taking care of yourself and others can result in a positive feedback loop that benefits everyone. Connecting with others via phone calls or video chats can also help alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation, which are common during stressful times.
